Guthu Mane Tour

Guthu Houses are the traditional houses of the Landowners of the coastal region. The houses were associated with a huge chunk of paddy fields and so you will even today see some of the houses in the middle of huge swathes of paddy fields.

The houses were associated with a 'daiva' which they would worship. There are many architectural features to these houses, the exquisitely carved pillars and doors being the main feature of these houses.
